Family Meal and Reminders - September 23rd This weeks Thursday Family Meal will be pasta.
We did so well two weeks ago, lets try it again.
Ideas - pasta salad, toss salad, garlic and Italian bread with butter, green beans, corn. Main meal Mariana or meat sauce, goulash, fettuccini with Alfredo sauce, lasagna, manicotti, ravioli and as always any kind of dessert. Hope this list helps.
We will be having our meal in the middle school cafeteria this week. There is a volleyball game and they use the concession stand in the high school cafeteria and need the area for seating.
It is difficult to split up the alphabet and assign food items. I am going to leave this week up to you. Look on your Mustang Discount card there might be a deal or two to use on family meals. Also help cleaning up each week is always welcome.
Raffle ticket sales are quickly coming to an end. Tommy Freeman, Austin Zanger, and Aaron Wittler are all leading the pack in ticket sales. Please remember that each player received at least 30 tickets. Players really need to start rapping up their ticket sales.
New equipment bags were handed out to players on Friday after the game. We were only able to purchase half the amount we needed, which meant that some players were unable to receive bags. Our goal is to hopefully purchase the other half by the end of the season. These equipment bags will be considered equipment. Meaning they will be returned with pads and helmets at the end of the season. However, if any player is interested in purchasing their own equipment bag let me now.
Remember we will still be selling apparel, the limited amount we have left, and holding the tennis ball raffle at games. Need parent volunteers to help with sales. Thank you to those parents who signed up to do a second game meal. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Our inventory of bottled Gatorade is beginning to run low. If possible please bring Gatorade to Thursday’s Family meal. It is not required, but every donation is appreciated.
At Sunday’s meeting we agreed to participate in the MVIT soup supper. MVIT is December 28, 29, and 30th and we will be providing supper all three nights. Please mark your calendars. This is a great opportunity to get a jump start on our fundraising for next year.
Also the 5th and 6th grade YMCA football team will be playing one of their games at our football field. We have been asked to sell concessions. The game will be October 21 starting at 5:30 pm. Would like to have some Unity/Payson football players to help in the concession stand after practice. We need to support this young team. They are future Mustangs.
In the past I have sent out the minutes to our meetings. We will now be posting minutes on our website for easier access.
Also I will try to have directions to Friday’s game in Knoxville available at Thursday’s Family Meal.
I think I am done with information and reminders, Cathy Wittler |
